Sally Mangano, MS, OTR/L, CYT

Sally is an Occupational Therapist and our resident certified yoga instructor at House of Health. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science at SUNY Cortland and later received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Touro College. In 2011, she completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification.

Sally began practicing yoga twenty years ago as a means to build strength and flexibility, but also discovered the profound emotional and mental benefits of the practice.

As an occupational therapist, Sally offers a unique perspective to yoga. Her educational background and experience translates into her classes, where she emphasizes the importance of proper alignment and functional movement. Having this higher level knowledge of the body enables her to better customize a program to meet the individual needs of her clients.

By using a holistic perspective and supportive props, she is able to adapt and modify postures to create a safe and supportive environment for clients of all abilities.  Sally looks forward to seeing clients and working and with them to achieve their physical, mental and emotional goals.
